Clean Yield Asset Management manages investment portfolios for clients using financial and environmental/social screens. Clients choose an equity or balanced account, indicate their risk tolerance, and discuss specific social screens. Portfolios are composed of publicly traded stocks and/or fixed-income securities, but may include exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, or alternative investments. Clean Yield manages all fee-based client accounts on a discretionary basis.
Fee Structure
Clean Yield Asset Management charges a percentage of your account's market value each year. The exact percentage depends on the type of account (equity or balanced) and the amount you have invested.
For clients who contracted after June 30, 2010:
- First $2,000,000 — 1.00% per year
- Next $3,000,000 — 0.75% per year
- Next $5,000,000 — 0.60% per year
- Above — Negotiated
For clients who contracted prior to June 30, 2010, the fees are different for equity and balanced accounts. These rates may be negotiated for lower fees. In very limited instances, when a client does not want his or her account actively invested, but instead held in cash for a period of time, Clean Yield will charge a flat fee of $500/year.
