Public Regulatory Information About Financial Advisors:

TrueAdvisor publishes a directory of SEC-registered investment advisers and their representatives. Information shown in advisor profiles—including names, firm affiliations, business addresses, fees, services, disclosures, and disciplinary history—is sourced from public regulatory filings, principally Form ADV filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and made publicly available through the SEC's Investment Adviser Public Disclosure (IAPD) system. This information is published as part of our advisor directory; it is not personal information you have provided to us. See "Advisor Profile Information" below for how corrections and removal requests are handled.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain our service
  • To notify you about changes to our service
  • To provide customer support
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues
  • For advisors: to display your availability to potential clients

Advisor Profile Information

Profiles of financial advisors and advisory firms on TrueAdvisor are compiled from public regulatory filings, principally SEC Form ADV. These filings are public records that anyone can obtain directly from the SEC at sec.gov.

Corrections. If information in your advisor profile is factually inaccurate, contact support@trueadvisor.com and we will investigate and correct verified errors within a reasonable time. The fastest way to update most profile fields is to file an updated Form ADV with the SEC, which we then ingest from the public record.

Removal requests. Because TrueAdvisor's purpose is to give consumers accurate, comprehensive information about SEC-registered advisors, we generally do not remove profiles that are based on public regulatory data. We may consider removal in limited circumstances—for example, if you are no longer registered as an investment adviser representative or if a profile was created in error. The 30-day deletion timeline described under "Data Retention" applies to personal information you submit to us; it does not apply to advisor profile content sourced from public regulatory filings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With your consent
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To protect our rights and safety

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain account information, booking requests, and contact form submissions to maintain a record of advisor-client communications and our service operations. If you wish to have personal information you submitted to us deleted, contact support@trueadvisor.com and we will remove your information within 30 days. This 30-day commitment applies only to personal information you have submitted to us; it does not apply to advisor profile content compiled from public regulatory filings, which is governed by the "Advisor Profile Information" section above.

Google account data (email, profile information) is retained while your account is active. Calendar access tokens are stored only while your calendar integration is connected—disconnecting removes this data immediately.

Your Rights

With respect to personal information you have submitted to us, you have the right to:

  • Access personal information you have provided to us
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Request deletion of personal information you have submitted
  • Disconnect third-party integrations (like Google Calendar)

With respect to advisor profile content compiled from public regulatory filings, see the "Advisor Profile Information" section above for our corrections and removal-request process.
