Rich joined Partners in Financial Planning in October 2012 and became the third managing partner in 2015. He started his financial planning career at Salomon Smith Barney, worked nine years at Vanguard and even ran his own Registered Investment Advisor firm before merging his firm with PIFP. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Liberty University. Rich grew up on Johns Island, SC. After living in Virginia and Pennsylvania for many years, he moved back to Johns Island to help take care of family. Rich manages our Charleston, SC office. Rich and his wife Carla have three children but are now empty nesters. In his free time, Rich can be found watching his son play college basketball, visiting his two daughters, hiking, sailing, reading and traveling with his wife.
