Sun Valley Gold provides investment advisory services to institutions with separately managed accounts and pooled investment vehicles intended for sophisticated and institutional investors. The firm is currently winding down its business and is not accepting new clients. Sun Valley Gold invests in gold, precious metals, mining securities, and related instruments. Peter F. Palmedo and Palmedo Holdings LLLP are the principal owners and managing members.
Fee Structure
Sun Valley Gold charges management fees of up to 2.0% annually on assets under management and an incentive allocation of up to 20% of the annual profit, subject to a high-water mark. Some investors may pay more or less than others for the same services. There are no management fees for managed accounts; incentive compensation, if any, will be calculated at the termination of the managed accounts.
