Steelhead Partners primarily manages investments for pooled investment vehicles (called "Funds") and separately managed accounts. Steelhead aims to increase the value of these investments while carefully managing risk. Steelhead tailors its services to meet the specific investment goals of each Fund or separate account, generally using a fundamental value strategy or a convertible bond strategy. Steelhead has full authority over investment decisions for the Funds, and investors cannot change a Fund’s investment objectives or limitations. Separate account clients can set restrictions on their account's investments.
Fee Structure
Steelhead Partners manages investments for pooled investment vehicles and separate accounts. They generally charge an annual fee based on a percentage of the value of the assets they manage. For the pooled investment vehicles, this fee is typically 1% per year. In addition, Steelhead may receive a portion of the profits earned by the investors in the Funds, generally 20% of the profits. Fee terms for separate accounts are negotiated individually. These accounts generally pay a management fee, and some may also pay a performance-based fee.
