GBL's services are limited to non-discretionary asset management, meaning clients must approve every trade. GBL primarily recommends US and foreign stocks (mostly mutual and closed-end funds) and fixed income investments (mostly certificates of deposit and individual bonds).
Fee Structure
GBL Asset Management charges a quarterly fee based on the value of your investments. The annual fee for equity securities and debt convertible into equity is 0.75%. For fixed income securities, the annual fee ranges from 0.1% to 0.5% depending on the interest rate. GBL does not charge a fee for money market funds, checking/savings accounts, or Treasury bills maturing in less than a year. Discounts are available based on the total assets managed for a client's family group.
