Pacifica Capital Investments

Fee-Only (% of Portfolio)

Pacifica Capital Investments (PCI) offers investment advice to individuals, pension and profit-sharing plans, charities, and corporations. PCI primarily invests in equity securities and, occasionally, non-listed securities. PCI focuses on businesses and industries it understands well, limiting positions to typically less than 15. This focused approach may increase portfolio volatility. Client accounts are generally managed similarly, but PCI tailors services to individual needs and client restrictions.

Fee Structure

Minimum Investment:$250K
Investment management only (planning not offered)

Pacifica Capital Investments (PCI) charges a base management fee and a performance fee to clients who meet certain qualifications (net worth of $2.1 million or at least $1,000,000 under PCI's management). The base management fee is up to 1.0% of the value of the client's account annually. The performance fee will not exceed 20% of the annual increase in the value of the client's account above a minimum annual return, which is tied to the yield on the ten-year U.S. Treasury bond. Clients who do not meet the qualifications pay only the base management fee, which ranges from 0.25% to 2% annually. Fees are negotiable and may vary based on account size, potential for growth, client relationship, and other factors. A maintenance fee ranging from $100 to $150 may be charged to accounts below $250,000.
