Cottingham Management Company manages investments for three funds, each with its own fee structure:
- Cottingham Development Fund: Charges 2% of the fund's value per year, billed quarterly, plus an incentive allocation of 20% of profits exceeding prior losses, calculated annually.
- Cottingham Income Fund: Charges 1% of the fund's value per year, billed monthly. Also receives a special profit allocation of 10% of the amount by which the investor’s capital account exceeds the value at the start of the fiscal year plus a 6% hurdle rate.
- Ubuntu Income and Private Equity Fund: Does not receive a management fee. The general partner receives a performance-based fee when realized gains exceed disclosed thresholds, a portion of which is paid to Cottingham.
