York Capital Management provides administrative services and serves as investment advisor to private investment partnerships and offshore investment funds. These funds use various investment strategies. York operates independently of UBS, which owns a minority equity interest in York. York was founded in 1991 by James G. Dinan. The Firm’s Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner is William Vrattos.
Fee Structure
York Capital Management provides investment management services on a fee basis, which includes fees based upon the net asset value of the assets under management, as well as fees based on performance of the Funds and accounts. The Adviser generally receives an annual management fee of between 1% and 2% for each Fund’s assets under management, paid either monthly or quarterly, in advance based on the net asset value of the Fund at the beginning of the applicable month or quarter. Other accounts are charged fees that are negotiated with the client and range from 0.50% to 2% per year.
