Second Mountain Financial (SMF) offers portfolio management, financial planning, and business advisory services. Portfolio management includes developing investment strategies and ongoing monitoring. Financial planning covers retirement, education funding, and insurance needs. SMF also offers tax preparation through an affiliated company, Second Mountain Tax & Accounting, Inc. (SMTA). SMF has agreements with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC (MSSB) and Signature Estate & Investment Advisors, LLC (SEIA) for client referrals.
Fee Structure
Second Mountain Financial is compensated by fixed retainer fees, not based on the value of your investments. The minimum annual fee is $12,000, consisting of $7,000 for investment management and $5,000 for financial planning. This fee is paid quarterly or monthly in advance. If you end the relationship, you'll receive a refund for any unearned portion of the fee. You can pay the fee directly or have it deducted from your investment accounts. Custodial fees may also apply.
