Vestar identifies and evaluates investment opportunities, negotiates terms, manages and monitors investments, and achieves dispositions. Vestar invests in operating entities, generally referred to as portfolio companies. Vestar's investment team is organized into industry groups: consumer, healthcare, and business services and industrial products.
Fee Structure
Vestar Capital Partners manages investment funds and receives a management fee and carried interest. Investors in the funds also bear certain fund-related expenses. The management fee is a specified percentage of aggregate investment contributions less the aggregate amount of investment contributions with respect to the portion of each investment that has been disposed of or permanently written-down. The general partner receives a carried interest equal to a specified percentage of all realized profits, subject to satisfying a specified percentage preferred return.
