FEG Private Investors provides investment advisory and management services exclusively to private investment funds, such as the FEG Private Opportunities Funds. FEG Private Investors focuses on building and managing diversified portfolios of private equity, private debt, and real assets by investing in underlying third-party private funds and co-investments. FEG Private Investors manages these portfolios through customized series offerings, including options focused on socially responsible investing and environmental, social, and governance goals. The firm is intended for sophisticated investors and institutions meeting specific financial commitments, and requires a substantial minimum investment of $1,000,000, though exceptions may be granted. FEG Private Investors is wholly owned by Fund Evaluation Group, a federally registered investment advisor.
Fee Structure
FEG Private Investors manages private investment funds for a fee based on the committed capital of each fund. The fee structure varies depending on the specific fund and share class chosen by the investor:
- Standard funds and share classes — generally charged an annual management fee of 0.85% (0.2125% quarterly) of committed capital, which declines by 10% each year following the initial investment period.
- Specific funds (Fund IV, V, and VI) and certain share classes — phase in the management fee over time: 0.30% in year one, 0.50% in year two, 0.85% for years three through six, and declining by 10% annually thereafter.
- Fund VII (Share Class 3) — charges 0.30% in year one, 0.50% in year two, and 0.85% in years three through six, with fees declining by 10% each year thereafter. Additionally, Series E of this share class charges no annual management fee but is subject to a 10% carried interest on profits.
Investors also pay underlying operating expenses, management fees charged by underlying fund managers, and organization costs.
