Capital Financial Management refers clients to third-party investment managers. Here's how the fees work with Gradient Investments, one of the managers they use:

  • Strategic Portfolios: 2.00% per year (1.00% to Gradient Investments, 1.00% to Capital Financial)
  • Tactical Portfolios: 1.80% per year (0.80% to Gradient Investments, 1.00% to Capital Financial) plus internal ETF fees of 0.20%
  • Allocation & Defined Outcome Portfolios: 1.70% per year (0.70% to Gradient Investments, 1.00% to Capital Financial)
  • Preservation Portfolios: 1.00% per year (0.40% to Gradient Investments, 0.60% to Capital Financial)
  • Private Wealth Portfolios: 1.50% per year (0.50% to Gradient Investments, 1.00% to Capital Financial)
  • Client Directed Accounts: Flat fee of $300 per year to Gradient Investments

These fees are negotiable and assessed quarterly. There is also a $15 quarterly technology fee.

Capital Financial also refers clients to Eqis Capital Management, where the fee is 1% of assets managed.
