Samlyn Capital is an investment management firm that provides advisory services on a discretionary basis. Samlyn manages private pooled investment vehicles (Funds) and a separately managed account (SMA). Samlyn uses four distinct investment strategies for the Funds: long/short, long-only, market-neutral, and portable alpha. The SMA is managed to make large, concentrated investments in single stock positions.
Samlyn Capital manages investments for private investment funds and a separately managed account. Samlyn charges investment management fees based on the value of the fund's assets. The management fees range from 0.80% to 2.0% per year of the fund's net assets. Samlyn may also receive performance-based compensation from certain funds, ranging from 15% to 30% of net profits. The SMA pays fees as negotiated.
