Fee Structure
AlpInvest charges a management fee, typically quarterly in advance, based on a percentage of either available capital commitments or committed capital to investments. The annual rate generally ranges from 0.1% to 1.6% for a period of one to five (or more) years, and then the fee basis changes to either net invested capital, fair market value, or the lower of cost and fair market value of underlying investments. Some clients are also charged a minimum fee per active investment. Differing fee rates may be applied to different strategies, resulting in a blended overall fee. The management fees and administration fees are negotiable and vary among clients.
