Stonebridge Partners manages private equity funds that acquire privately held companies through management buyouts. Stonebridge targets companies in the manufacturing, distribution, packing, and service industries with transaction values between $30 million and $200 million. Stonebridge does not invest in publicly traded securities. The firm focuses on companies with compelling customer value, differentiated products, leadership in their niche, and exceptional management.
Stonebridge Partners manages private equity funds and receives performance-based fees (carried interest) once certain performance targets are achieved. Stonebridge Partners also receives ongoing quarterly monitoring fees directly from portfolio companies, either on a fixed or variable fee basis. Variable fees are charged as a percentage of the portfolio companies' earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA), typically 5%, subject to a stated fee floor and ceiling. Stonebridge Partners expects to receive a one-time fee, ranging from 1% to 2%, upon the acquisition closing of any investment, generally a percentage of the investment purchase price.
