Harris Preston & Partners manages different types of funds with varying fee structures:
- Funds of Funds: An annual management fee is charged based on each investor's committed capital. The fee generally starts at 2% per year and reduces over the life of the fund. There are no performance-based fees.
- Single Investment Co-Investment Funds and Non-Program Funds: The general partner receives performance-based compensation in the form of a carried interest, typically 17.5% of distributions after the return of contributed capital. No management fee is charged, but the fund reimburses Harris Preston for certain expenses.
- Blind Pool Co-Investment Funds: An annual management fee of 1% of committed capital is charged during the investment period, reducing to 0.5% after that. The general partner is also entitled to a carried interest, which varies depending on the amount of the limited partner's capital commitment: 15% for commitments less than $5 million, 12.5% for commitments between $5 million and $10 million, and 10% for commitments of $10 million or more.
