Stockbridge Partners identifies investment opportunities and manages investments for its clients, primarily funds and separate accounts. Stockbridge focuses on companies with sustainable earnings and growth potential, primarily in the United States, but also pursues international investments. Stockbridge seeks long-term capital appreciation through investments in publicly traded equities, and may use strategic short sales to hedge risks.
Stockbridge Partners charges a monthly management fee based on a percentage of the net asset value of each investor's capital account in the funds. Separate account clients also pay a management fee, billed monthly in advance. The firm also receives an annual incentive allocation or fee based on the performance of the funds or accounts. These fees and allocations are generally not negotiable after the fund or account is established, but Stockbridge may negotiate alternative fees or allocations on a client-by-client basis.
