Forester Capital provides discretionary investment advisory services primarily to private investment funds, investing in a diversified group of third-party managed private investment funds. Forester focuses on fund managers employing a hedge fund approach, utilizing long and short positions, typically in equity securities. Forester also provides non-discretionary advisory services regarding a client’s hedge fund portfolio. Forester does not provide investment advice directly to individual investors in the Forester Funds.
Fee Structure
Forester Capital manages investments for private investment funds. The fees charged to investors in these funds are:
- 0.95% per year for A2/A3 Interest investors
- 0.75% per year for B2/B3 Interest investors
- 0.25% per year on invested capital for FSO and FSO II investors
- 0.5% per year for Co-investment Fund investors
Investors in the Forester Insurance Fund are charged a subadvisory fee of:
- 0.95% per year for A2/A3 Interest investors
- 0.75% per year for B2/B3/Three-Year Interest investors
These fees are deducted from the funds themselves, not billed directly to investors. Forester may waive fees for certain investors.
