Marathon Partners Equity Management provides investment advice to pooled investment vehicles, or funds, that are designed for institutional and sophisticated investors. Marathon Partners has broad authority to manage each fund's investments based on its specific goals and strategies. Marathon Partners does not tailor its services to the individual needs of investors within the funds.
Marathon Partners manages investments for pooled investment funds and charges an asset-based investment management fee, generally ranging from 0% to 1% of the fund's assets. Marathon Partners may also receive an incentive allocation, which is a share of the fund's capital gains or appreciation. Certain funds pay a management fee quarterly, at an annual rate of 1% of the investor's account value at the beginning of the quarter. Other funds pay quarterly based on the account value at the end of each quarter. The incentive allocation ranges from 10% to 17% of the fund's net profits.
