SIR Capital Management manages investment funds, primarily hedge funds, that focus on the energy sector. SIR provides investment advice on a discretionary basis to these funds. The funds are privately offered and invest in energy and related industries. SIR does not offer wrap fee programs. SIR manages the funds' assets with the goal of long-term capital appreciation.
SIR Capital Management manages hedge funds and charges a management fee based on the fund's net asset value. The Hedged Equity Funds pay 2.0% annually, the Energy Opportunities Funds pay 1.0% annually, and the Energy Transition Funds pay 1.5% annually. SIR also receives a performance-based incentive allocation or fee, typically 20% of the net increase in the fund's value, subject to a loss recovery mechanism. A separately managed account is charged a monthly management fee based on a percentage of the account’s net asset value and a performance fee equal to twenty percent (20%) of the net increase in the net asset value on an annual basis.
