Fee Structure
Foundation Energy Management manages investments for its affiliated private pooled investment funds. In exchange for these services, the firm receives management fees and is entitled to carried interest distributions from the Funds.
The annual management fee is 0.5% (2% per year) of the aggregate commitments of investors during the investment period. After the investment period, the management fee is reduced annually as described in the governing documents of each Fund. The firm or its affiliates are also entitled to carried interest distributions equal to a percentage (ranging from 19% to 27.5%) of distributable cash of each Fund after investors receive a return of capital and a preferred rate of return.
