GEC Advisors focuses on investing in growth capital, primarily in innovative energy technology and software companies. GEC advises only private pooled investment vehicles, making investment decisions based on each fund's objectives. GEC does not tailor its investment advisory services to individual investors in the funds. GEC's investment process includes origination, stewardship, and exit strategies, leveraging its experience and network in the energy sector.
GEC Advisors manages investments for private funds and charges a management fee of 2.0% per year of the aggregate capital commitments (and, after termination of its investment period, of invested capital, net of permanent write-downs), payable semi-annually, partially in arrears and partially in advance. In addition, 20% of the funds’ net investment proceeds are allocated to an affiliate of GEC Advisors as “carried interest.” The advisor may reduce or waive management and/or performance-based fees with respect to one or more investors.
