Fee Structure
Jefferies Capital Partners manages private equity funds. The management fee is typically 2% per year of committed capital for the first five years (or until 75% of commitments are invested) and then 1.75% per year of the portfolio investments' carrying value. This fee may be reduced by income received from portfolio companies. The firm also receives carried interest distributions, generally 20% of the profits from portfolio investments after returning capital and a preferred return to investors.
