Scout Energy Management (SEM) manages private investment funds that invest directly in oil and gas assets. SEM provides discretionary advisory services to the Scout Energy Partners and Scout Development Partners funds. SEM also oversees and operates acquired assets. Investment advice is provided to the funds, not tailored to individual investors. Investors cannot restrict fund investments or withdraw funds early.
Fee Structure
Scout Energy Management (SEM) manages private investment funds. The fees are based on a percentage of capital commitments and net invested capital.
For Scout Energy Partners funds, the management fee is generally 1.5% of capital commitments during the investment period and 1.5% of net invested capital during the secondary period. Some funds offer reduced fees in the secondary period, ranging from 1.15% to 1.25% depending on the investor's commitment and admission date.
For Scout Development Partners funds, the management fee is 1.75% of capital commitments during the investment period and 2.0% of net invested capital during the secondary period. Discounts are available during the secondary period based on commitment size and prior investments in other funds.
