CIM creates an Investment Policy Statement outlining the client's situation and constructs a plan to select a suitable portfolio. CIM generally invests in mutual funds, equities, bonds, ETFs, and REITs. Clients can impose restrictions on investments, but CIM may terminate the relationship if the restrictions hinder proper service.
