G. Scott Capital Partners aims to generate high financial returns by making direct control investments in established, lower middle-market companies headquartered in the United States. GSCP analyzes, structures, and negotiates potential portfolio company investments, and monitors their performance. GSCP is the general partner of G. Scott Capital Partners I, L.P., a private-equity fund.
Fee Structure
G. Scott Capital Partners manages a private equity fund (GS Fund) and single-purpose limited liability companies (Investment LLCs). As the general partner of the GS Fund, GSCP receives a management fee equal to 2.0% per year of the aggregate capital commitments of each limited partner during the investment period, and thereafter, 2.0% per annum of the aggregate capital contributions of each limited partner made in respect of the portfolio-company investments. GSCP may also receive fees from the portfolio-company investments, which reduce the management fee. GSCP also receives a carried interest on distributions from the GS Fund. GSCP generally does not receive separate compensation for advisory services rendered to the Investment LLCs, but may agree to receive separate compensation, such as a carried interest based on profit distributions.
