Applied Fundamental Research (AFR) primarily manages investments for two private investment partnerships, AFR Value Partners and AFR Concentrated Value. These funds invest mainly in North American small- and mid-cap companies. AFR may also manage separate accounts and provide investment advice to other advisors. AFR does not tailor its advisory services to individual client needs beyond its general investment strategies.
AFR manages investments for private investment partnerships. The management fee is 1.25% per year, paid quarterly. There is also a performance allocation, which is a percentage of the fund's net profits. For separately managed accounts, AFR may receive a management fee up to 2% of the assets in each managed account plus a performance fee equal to a percentage of the net profits on the assets under its management, as set forth in each managed account advisory agreement. This performance fee is generally 20% of net profits.
