MGG's clients invest in privately sourced and negotiated senior secured credit instruments. MGG aims to mitigate risk by selecting target companies with sufficient cash flows and strong covenants. Generali Investments, through Conning & Company, acquired a controlling interest in MGG in October 2025.
Fee Structure
MGG Investment Group manages investments for private investment funds and separately managed accounts. MGG receives a management fee, generally 1.5% annually, from the funds based on investor's invested capital, paid quarterly. This fee may be reduced by certain portfolio company remuneration and placement fees. MGG may also receive performance-based compensation.
