BEA creates customized investment programs based on a client's financial situation, risk tolerance, time horizon, and goals. BEA's services include investment strategy, asset allocation, regular portfolio monitoring, personal investment policy, and security selection. Clients grant BEA a limited power of attorney to buy and sell securities on their behalf.

The Management Fee for a qualified client whose account is not actively managed by BEA is billed annually at 1.0% or quarterly at 0.25% per quarter, in arrears. The Management Fee for non-qualified clients and actively managed qualified clients is billed annually at 1.0% or quarterly at 0.25% per quarter, in arrears. Black Elm Advisors also receives a performance fee of 20% of new net profits earned in a qualified client’s account during each calendar year.
