Upfront Ventures provides investment management services to its affiliated venture capital funds. It identifies and evaluates investment opportunities, negotiates terms, manages investments, and ultimately disposes of them. Upfront Ventures invests primarily in early-stage and later-stage privately held technology-enabled companies. Upfront Ventures does not tailor its advisory services to the individual needs of investors, instead providing investment advice to the Funds rather than to the individual Investors in the Fund.
Fee Structure
Upfront Ventures manages investments for affiliated venture capital funds and receives a management fee and carried interest from each fund. The management fee is a percentage of the total investor capital commitments, paid quarterly in advance. The management fee percentage is generally between 0-2.0% annually. Management fees and carried interest distributions are generally not negotiable.
