Homestead Capital manages investments for private investment funds that acquire farmland throughout the United States. The funds aim to generate returns through rental income, interest income, and appreciation of the land value. Homestead does not tailor its advisory services to individual fund investors. Homestead completed an agreement with Kudu Investment US, LLC (Kudu) to purchase a minority stake in Homestead. Kudu will not be involved in the day-to-day management of Homestead and does not have any input in the investment decision making process.
Fee Structure
Homestead Capital manages investments for private farmland investment funds. The funds pay Homestead a management fee based on a percentage of committed capital and/or capital investments under management. The management fee is approximately 1.5% - 1.75% of the aggregate capital commitment of the Fund’s investors through the end of the Fund’s “Investment Period.” After the end of the Investment Period, the fee is equal to 1.5% to 1.75% of capital that is invested, budgeted or reserved.
