Moerus Capital Management provides investment management services to private funds, registered funds, and separately managed accounts. Moerus aims for long-term capital appreciation by investing in undervalued companies. The firm uses a fundamental, opportunistic, bottom-up value investing methodology, resulting in a concentrated portfolio of high-conviction core positions. Moerus has broad and flexible investment authority, investing primarily in stocks, bonds, foreign currencies, forward contracts, futures, and options.
Moerus Capital Management manages investments for private funds, registered funds, and separately managed accounts.
For private funds, there is a quarterly management fee calculated at an annual rate of 0.95% of each shareholder’s capital account attributable to Sub-Class A Shares. No management fee is charged to a shareholder’s capital account attributable to Sub-Class B Shares. At the end of each fiscal year, the general partner of the private fund will receive an annual incentive allocation equal to 20% of the net profits attributable to each Sub-Class B Share.
For registered funds, Moerus receives a management fee in the amount of 0.95%, annually, computed based upon the average daily net assets of the Class N Shares and Institutional Class Shares.
For separately managed accounts, advisory fees are negotiable and vary depending on the client, assets under management, investment term, and restrictions. Some accounts also pay an incentive fee, which is also negotiable.
