Financial Advisory Services (FAS) acts as a solicitor, connecting clients with third-party money managers. FAS discusses suitable managers with clients and may contract with them for financial planning services. Clients sign agreements directly with the third-party manager, who pays FAS a portion of their fees for the referral. Clients can contact and terminate agreements with the third-party manager directly.
