Interlinc Financial Advisors (IFA) provides financial planning services, including reviews of investments, retirement plans, insurance, retirement income, Social Security, and college planning. IFA also refers clients to third-party investment managers (TPMs) and receives a portion of the TPM's fee. IFA does not manage client assets directly. Stephen J. Meeks, a co-owner, also sells insurance, which presents a conflict of interest.
Fee Structure
Interlinc Financial Advisors does not directly manage investments. Instead, they refer clients to third-party managers like Brookstone Capital Management (BCM). BCM charges a fee based on the amount of assets they manage. Interlinc Financial Advisors receives a portion of this fee for the referral. The fees for Brookstone and Interlinc Financial Advisors are not negotiable.
Brookstone Capital Management (BCM) offers different fee schedules:
Fee Schedule I
- Up to $500,000: 1.50% per year
- $500,000 - $999,999: 1.35% per year
- $1,000,000 and over: 1.15% per year
Fee Schedule II
- Up to $500,000: 1.95% per year
- $500,000 - $999,999: 1.75% per year
- $1,000,000 and over: 1.50% per year
Fee Schedule III
- All Assets: 1.00% per year
Additionally, all accounts will be charged a monthly $8 technology fee.
