Mountain Top Advisory Group refers clients to third-party asset managers (TPMs) like UBS. They gather your financial information and objectives, then recommend a suitable TPM. Mountain Top Advisory Group monitors the TPM's performance and acts as a liaison between you and the TPM, helping with paperwork and providing ongoing service. They receive a portion of the asset manager's advisory fees.
Mountain Top Advisory Group does not directly charge clients for investment advice. Instead, they refer clients to asset managers who share their fees with Mountain Top Advisory Group. Currently, they have an arrangement with UBS Financial Services, where fees are charged based on the following:
These fees are negotiable and assessed quarterly, based on the assets managed. Clients must authorize UBS to deduct the fees from their account. Clients can terminate the agreement within five business days without penalty. After that, a pro-rata fee will be charged for the days of service provided.
