Sagard's strategies include venture capital (Portage brand), private credit (Sagard Credit, Sagard Senior Lending, Sagard Healthcare), and private equity (Sagard Private Equity Canada). Sagard may also establish feeder vehicles to facilitate indirect participation in the Funds by certain institutional or high net worth investors.
Fee Structure
Sagard primarily advises private funds and a limited number of institutional clients through separately managed accounts. Sagard receives management fees from these clients, calculated as a percentage of committed or invested capital, net asset value, or capital contributions and outstanding borrowings. The specific fee structure is detailed in the offering documents for each fund or the investment management agreement for each separately managed account. Management fees for separately managed accounts are individually negotiated and paid quarterly.
