Permanent Equity Management provides investment advice and management to affiliated private investment funds, making privately negotiated equity and equity-related investments. Permanent Equity seeks long-term returns through dividends, distributions, and capital appreciation by acquiring and retaining North American middle market and lower middle market portfolio companies. Investors in the funds are not considered clients of Permanent Equity.
Permanent Equity Management does not receive management fees directly from the Funds. However, Permanent Equity or its affiliates may charge fees to a portfolio company or Fund for certain professional services (e.g. legal and accounting) rendered by Permanent Equity (or its affiliates). The General Partner of each Fund will generally be entitled to receive certain performance-based fees and distributions that are measured as a percentage of the Fund’s Distributable Proceeds in excess of certain negotiated performance thresholds that are tied to the internal rate of return received by the Fund’s investors.
