The firm identifies and evaluates investment opportunities, negotiates terms, manages and monitors investments, and achieves dispositions. Comvest Credit is controlled by John Hancock Life Insurance Company (U.S.A.), which is ultimately owned and controlled by Manulife Financial Corporation.
Fee Structure
Comvest Credit manages investments for private investment funds and receives a management fee for these services. The management fee is calculated based on the investment cost, undrawn commitments, and guarantees, not the current net asset value. The amount of the management fee generally does not change with fluctuations in the net asset value of the investments. Investors in the funds also bear fund expenses.
