Rubicon Founders LLC advises private investment funds, separately managed accounts, and single investor vehicles, focusing on equity or credit investments in the healthcare sector. Rubicon identifies and evaluates investment opportunities, negotiates, manages, finances, and monitors investments, and achieves dispositions for such investments. Rubicon may enter into side letters with certain investors, potentially altering fund agreements. Rubicon also manages a separately managed account with full discretionary authority.
Fee Structure
Rubicon Founders LLC generally receives a management fee and a performance allocation in connection with advisory services. Each Fund pays Rubicon Manager a management fee equal to an amount set forth in the Governing Documents. During such Funds’ commitment period, the Fund generally pays a management fee of 2.0% on an annual basis of aggregate investor capital commitments. After the commitment period expires, the Fund’s management fee is 2.0% of funded Commitments in respect of investments, reduced by the cost of realized investments and investments that have been disposed of or permanently written off. Each Fund will generally be assessed a carried interest or performance fee that is allocable to Rubicon. Currently, investors in such Funds are subject to a carried interest charge of up to 20% to 30%.
