Galvanize Climate Solutions manages investment funds and earns management fees and carried interest from each fund. The management fees vary depending on the fund type:
- GPI Funds: Investors generally pay a management fee up to approximately 2.5% per year of committed capital during the investment period, and up to approximately 2.5% per year of the aggregate purchase price of investments held by the fund after the investment period.
- GGE Funds: The management fee is up to 1.25% annually on an investor’s capital account. Some classes also have an incentive allocation equal to 15% of the fund’s outperformance over a specific index or benchmark.
- GRE Funds: Investors generally pay a management fee of approximately 1.5% per year of committed capital until the expiration of the fund’s investment period, and approximately 1.5% per year of the investor's aggregate investment contributions plus their share of investments for which the fund has made commitments or other reserves to complete investments by the fund. The general partner also earns up to 15.0% in carried interest allocation, usually above a 7% hurdle rate.
