Novacap provides investment advice to private equity funds, called Funds, that invest in operating businesses. Novacap identifies and evaluates investment opportunities, negotiates terms, manages investments, and works to sell them later. The Funds focus on specific sectors like Technology, Digital Infrastructure, Industries, and Financial Services. Novacap's goal is to increase the value of these businesses.
Fee Structure
Novacap manages investments for private investment funds, not individual investors. Novacap receives general partner distributions (i.e., management fees) and carried interest distributions in connection with advisory services to certain of the Funds. Novacap or its affiliates receive additional compensation in connection with management and other services performed for portfolio companies of Funds and such additional compensation will generally offset the GP Distributions otherwise payable to Novacap. In addition, in certain circumstances Novacap will receive compensation for management and other services performed in connection with co-investments made in portfolio companies of the Funds. Investors in a Fund also bear certain expenses.
