Clients generally compensate Goldman Sachs for its advisory services through a fee calculated as a percentage of the assets in the advisory account. The advisory fee varies depending on factors such as the pricing model, the size of the relationship, client customization of investment guidelines, required service levels, and the asset class. Clients may pay more or less than other clients invested in similar strategies. For certain fixed income strategies, clients may receive a fee reduction during low interest rate environments. Clients also pay commissions, commission equivalents, mark-ups, mark-downs and spreads in addition to advisory fees.
