Vista Financial Planning offers two Open Retainer contract options:

• One Year Standard Open Retainer: Provides scheduled meetings over a 12-month period, typically monthly. After the initial 12-month period, the client enters the renewal phase with 2-3 appointments per year.
• Two Year Standard Open Retainer: Provides scheduled meetings over a 24-month period, typically every other month, plus additional tax planning, tax preparation, and portfolio rebalancing appointments. After the initial 24-month period, the client enters the renewal phase with 2-3 appointments per year.

The fee for the One Year Standard Open Retainer is determined by adding a base fee ($1,500 without tax preparation or $1,850 - $2,250 with tax preparation), 1% of total income excluding capital gains, and 0.5% of all marketable assets (excluding home equity). The minimum fee is $4,200.

The fee for the Two Year Standard Open Retainer is the combination of the One Year Standard Open Retainer fee plus a Renewal Year fee. The minimum fee is $6,300.

Renewal Year Fee utilizes the total computed from the three components above and multiplies the total by 50% to determine the renewal year fee. If the calculated renewal fee is less than ½ of 1% of marketable assets, then the renewal fee will be ½ of 1% of marketable assets. The minimum renewal year fee is $2,100.

Vista Financial Planning may occasionally work on a financial planning project and will bill on an hourly basis for time taken to complete the project. The hourly rate for projects is $300 per hour. Fees are negotiable for these projects.
